Join us in congratulating the Chief Executive officer of Strategic Communications Africa (Stratcomm Africa), Ms Esther Cobbah, who has been adjudged the Marketing Woman of the year 2012 at the 24th Chartered Institute of Marketing Ghana (CIMG) Marketing Performance Awards held on Friday, 13th September, 2013 at the Banquet Hall of the State House.

The 24th Marketing Performance Awards rewarded excellence in performance by individuals and organizations in the year under review. This year’s event was under the theme “Reshaping Public and Corporate Engagement through the Power of Marketing”.

According to CIMG, the most prestigious award was conferred on Ms Cobbah in recognition of her excellence in strategic marketing in the areas of marketing insights, marketing strategy development, managing her corporate reputation right down to managing marketing teams as well as CSR programmes for the year 2012.
In her acceptance remarks, on behalf of all the awardees, Ms Cobbah thanked CIMG for the recognition and indicated that the power of marketing had become an important aspect of the global market place. She stated that the institute could count on the commitment of all who had been recognised by the institute to enable the country to be effectively marketed internationally as well as to enable a common national vision to be shared nationally.

She added, our public sector as well as our private sector need to understand the various tools that are available for effective marketing. “All of us practitioners have a responsibility to demonstrate how these tools work so that Ghanaian entrepreneurs as well as the government can benefit from our professional discipline.
In the coming year, we should renew our efforts to educate the public and ensure a deep appreciation of marketing”.

Few weeks ago, the Stratcomm Africa CEO, Ms Esther Cobbah, was also adjudged the Outstanding Corporate Woman of the Year. She has also received several other awards, including the 2010 Best Entrepreneur in media communications award. Stratcomm Africa, as a company, also recently received the 2013 African Business Star Quality Awards for excellent communications and advertising services at a ceremony organized recently by Aspire West Africa in Accra.
